Pumpkin Jack
Today, we carved our pumpkin in class after reading Pumpkin Jack, a book about a decomposing pumpkin and its life cycle. For the next eight days, we will observe our class pumpkin decompose right in front of our eyes! But before that happens, here are some pictures from today:

BATS!
In early October, we spent some time learning about BATS! Here, students created tree maps about what "Bats can, Bats are, and Bats have." We learned so much and had tons of fun along the way!
"Bats are the only flying mammals in the world." |
"Bats can see in the dark." |
"Bats have echolocation." |
"Bats can hang upside down." |
